The Record-player chassis it self is the 22GC005.

If you look for that manual, it explains all your issues.

Turn-off automatic is indeed that little notch on the platter.
Your start service is good, and that is just observe the mechanics.

Beware some disks have a wrong loop-out position.
Just try first some records with an other loop-out.
See if that auto-turn off the motor.

Beware its a friction auto-cut off
Never put oil on that rod.
Move slowly the arm to the end to see when it auto shut-off, or why it is not catching that little pin
on the platter-axel.

And advise "RFM" That is a bit of a joke "Read the F.. Manual"
Its in several languages.Pick one.
It helps how it all should work.

Only oil/grease those points (And even clean) what current also has some oil.
As some mechanics relay on friction.
