Hello,
I'm repairing a Philips 2601. I would like to check the box that carries the tone filter. It is the box that I show in the photo.
I would like to know if someone has dismantled a box like this. This box has some coils. I would like to change the capacitors, but I am afraid of breaking the coils. I have not opened the box yet. Do you know if this box is filled with some paste?

For checking the box you don't need to open the box. Leakage and capacitance can be measured from the outside ,I guess.

I don't know the values, but these are the components.
So you will have to take it apart to check.

With some measurements at various frecquencies and some networkanalysis the self-induction of the coil it can get calculated.

Good evening, I saw your HP filter cartridge for the PHILIPS 2601 radio.
The color drawing of the filter with the signature A.C. in the lower right corner was drawn
from me. After a year of work, I put this PHILIPS 2601 radio back in its place new.

Since the voltages at this box are very low, it's totally useless to replace the capacitors.
